Salted Nut Roll Bars

Salted nut roll bars

Ingredientssalted nut roll bars

  • One box yellow cake mix
  • 2/3 cup butter softened
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • One 12-ounce package peanut butter chips
  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups salted peanuts


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Stir together the cake mix, butter and egg. Press into a greased 9×13 pan and bake for 12 minutes.
  3. Top with marshmallows and return to the oven until marshmallows are puffy (about 2-4 minutes). Then, remove from the oven and set aside.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter chips, corn syrup, and butter.
  5. Melt.
  6. Stir in the cereal and peanuts.
  7. Spoon the mixture over the marshmallows and spread to an even layer.
  8. Refrigerate to set then cut into bars.
